EDUCATION DEPARTMENT   The Education Department: Due to limited financial resources at the disposal of the ADCs of Meghalaya, the subject of primary education has since been handed over to the State Government. However, the handling over does not bar the ADCs to assist or create new primary schools (in any place under the jurisdiction of the Council as usual) subject to the availability of funds. 1.
